Skills Classes
This year we are replacing half-day in-conference workshops with skills classes for which there is no extra charge, which will run parallel to symposia. These will be 2-hour classes focusing on a specific clinical or research skill.
You will not need to book for these in advance, but there will be limited numbers of places, and so spaces will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
Key themes for the conference programme this year include:
- Advances in understanding and treating psychosis
- Self regulation and control
- Innovations in parent training
- The interface between health psychology and CBT
- CBT for an aging population
- IAPT and beyond
- Control and Self-Regulation
New Researcher Awards
This year there will be three New Researcher Awards: one for an open paper, one for a poster, and one for a case report poster.
The winners will receive complimentary registration for next year’s conference, and an invitation to present at the next conference.
To be eligible for a New Researcher Award you must have completed your most recent qualification (MA, PhD, DClinPsy, etc) within the last 2 years.
Please either self-nominate on your submission form, or email scientificcommittee@babcp.com. If you would like to nominate someone else for an award, again please email scientificcommittee@babcp.com.
Going Green
This year you will have the opportunity to opt out of receiving the 200 page printed Abstracts booklet. The abstracts will be available for viewing and downloading well in advance of the conference. You can opt out on the registration form.
And instead of the indestructable conference briefcase you will receive a bag made from jute which is plant fibre.
Furthermore, you will be able to return your badge so that it can be used again next year.
